Peñalver Clinic is a non-profit Florida corporation, tax exempt under Section 501(c 3) of the Internal Revenue Code serving all residents of Miami-Dade County. Inaugurated on April 28, 1996, the site became a state-of-art primary health care, cultural and educational center committed to deliver the highest quality health care services and programs to the needy in the community. The Clinic was specially designed to facilitate patients flow and to ensure a peaceful and non-threatening environment to both visitors and staff. Architect Rolando Silva was the mastermind behind its design and awarded for his work the 1997 recognition for “Excellence in Design” by the American Institute of Architecture.

Peñalver Clinic arose from the grassroots of the Little Havana community. The facilities were constructed, furnished and equipped with funds provided by the State legislature and provides a NEW CONCEPT in community health care: a partnership between the State of Florida, Miami-Dade County, City of Miami and health care providers, under the direction of the Board of Trustees serving as representatives of the community.
